Lastolite EZYBOX Magic

Received a new toy this week… the Lastolite Ezybox softbox for flash. Now that’s a mouthful.

It’s a pretty neat little light modifier that softens the light quite a bit. More so than shooting through an umbrella. It’s very portable, fits nicely on a lightstand, and I got the new “shoe” that fits the SB-900 (yes, you read that correctly). I’ve seen Joe McNally use these in his workshops and at DLWS, and he mentions them in his Hot Shoe Diaries…

The image below was taken last night. My poor kids… It’s like they live with the paparazzi. Always a lens in their face… always some flash going off. I wonder if that will eventually affect their eyesight. 🙂

Pretty basic setup, put Aidan in the hallway, Ezybox in the kitchen. He was standing about 3-4 feet away from the softbox- shot TTL… I gave great creative direction~ “Aidan, hug your blankie” ~ here’s the image… Enjoy!
