Congratulations Graduate!

Attended a cousins graduation party this past weekend (with camera in hand of course)… although, didn’t shoot to much as the camera had been in hand all day for a High School Reunion earlier in the day (which was equally as fun!).

I often get asked why I switched from Canon to Nikon… and I think this image is the reason why. Shot at ISO 1100, wide open at f2.8 at 140mm (70-200). No noise reduction was used on this image in post. I had to edit out a hanging lamp from the upper left hand corner, which in all honestly I thought would wreak havoc with the camera’s meter. But the D3 handled it beautifully (with no flash).

A great moment, captured for the rest of time. Congrats Graduate!
