Christmas Eve Portraits

It’s become a bit of a tradition for us to take Christmas Eve portraits in our house. They aren’t really planned, instead, I tend to follow the boys around the house after they get dressed in their shirt and ties and snap a few candid pictures. No softboxes, maybe a flash here and there, but in this case, i had pure natural window light for both shots. Snap, Snap and done.

I used OnOne’s FocalPoint software to finish the image of Aidan. Thought adding a bit more radial blur, with his face as the focal point, would add a bit more interest to the image. The shot of Tristan looking out the window is pretty much Straight-Out-of-Camera- i sued Nik’s Darkedn/lighten Center filter to vignette the edges a little bit. That’s about it.

I do hope everyone enjoyed their Holidays as much as we did… Santa was good to the boys, and there’ lots more toys to be played with over the coming days and weeks.
