Manhattan Bridge Plaza

Wandering around lower Manhattan is really like being Alice in Wonderland… you never quite know what you’ll run into next. Whether its people shooting, architecture, or being a tourist and shooting the historical landmarks, you are sure to bump into something of interest.

This was taken at the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge. There is actually a plaza at the foot of the bridge on the Manhattan Side that has roman columns, and statues cut ornately from stone.

Truly Amazing… I love the weathered patina from the elements and the detail in the wings. Someone lovingly hand crafted these statues a long time ago…

Enjoy!
