Landing on Pandora

Everything is big in Yosemite. And I mean BIG. Big Rocks. Big Trees. Big Waterfalls… BIG… EVERYTHING.

Took a drive up 120 this am looking for some waterfalls to shoot. Unfortunately, the sun was up and creating specular highlights all over the place. Even with an 8 stop Variable-Neutral Density Filter… wasn’t enough. Sigh. Turned around and started driving back down the road. Off to right this is the view…

Looking at this I started thinking James Cameron might arrive with a bunch of Avatars in tow.

Gorgeous place. BIG place… Makes you think BIG Thoughts. Enjoy!
